NOTE:  Alfred is one of possibly 14 children of Willam Sinnock from Margate, on the east coast of England, and Susan Matthews from Langport, Somerset, just outside Bristol, on the west coast of England. Somehow they met and married, then settled in the Bristol area. William is a son of Henry and Mary Wood from Margate. Henry, in turn, hails from Hailsham. Among his descendants are a family of Sinnocks who immigrated to the area in and around Connecticut, including John Norman Sinnock and family
